I’ve developed a whole series of new soundbytes for our video games and godd levels, and I’m hoping we can send them out to you soon for your totally fun use. Makes all games more fun!
I have six levels of boss engagements, 12 levels of exploration, a total of 18 mp3 soundbytes.
Here’s a sample of what it might look and sound like:
Of course, the image would be normal panorama view, not made for iPhone but for PC.
Management of the soundbytes is of profound importance. They can be controlled from the .INI file, but also by domain, accessible in the editor.
Each area can have its own sound, and this is particularly important if your level is a clear LINEAL track — few or no side issues, with each area being a specific domain.
You can also trigger sound events with object tags, of course, but be aware that the sounds definitely affect each other — effect on and effect off are the cleanest way to go about separating the sounds without doubling them or snuffing them.
I’ve made 12 general background songs, 6 Level Boss tunes, four shop themes, and four Final Battle soundbytes. There are more coming, each for a specific use or application. It’s a whole new GoDD!!!

In addition to the game sounds without vocals, i’m able to create some with vocals, something you couldn’t do on midi, but it fits right in with the retro image.

So here’s a sample of one of the midi (style) tracks. There is no MIDI, but there are MIDI-like sounds, and that’s what I’m using. Similar, but not the same. They are emphatically NOT the sounds you heard back then…back then….back then.
I tried for amusing and constructive things, but here’s the secret: each track contains powerful blessings to overcome the forces of badness and to help the forces of goodness.
I am hoping that you will get the sense of fun I get when I use these playful MIDI style ditties — tunes, to you.
