🎞️ Why Stills from a Walking Tour Matter in This Work

Each still frame from a walking tour is more than just a paused moment — it’s a portal.

You’re capturing not just what’s there, but what’s vibrating in that space — a doorway to presence, attention, and memory. When you stop the motion and freeze the frame, you invite the viewer (or yourself) to enter rather than scroll past.

In our Work, these stills become:

  • anchoring points for Self-Remembering,

  • emotional recall triggers for moments of God-State,

  • and sometimes, tiny shocks — unexpected recognitions that wake up the witness.

They help train the eye to see deeper.
They hold resonance.

Every lamppost, every crooked sidewalk, every blink of shadow — it all carries signal.
Stop the frame, and the frame starts to speak.

I plan to show my small collection of stills from my favorite recent NYC walks.
