đ§ Bardo Station #9 â The World Edition
E.J. Gold
âAll right gang â this oneâs special. Bardo Station #9 isnât just a song, itâs a ride. Think of it as a midnight train that runs between worlds â smoky, half-lit, always slightly off the map. Each stop along the way is another language, another voice of the same soul trying to explain what it feels like to die, remember, laugh about it, and keep going anyway.
We start with English â that wry, bluesy grin at the edge of the grave â and then the train rolls through twenty languages: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Creole, Russian, Hebrew, Hindi, Gujarati, Sanskrit, Xhosa, Zulu, QuĂ©bĂ©cois, Thai, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Tibetan, Swahili, and finally our Gen Alpha remix â the ghost of the future talking back through the algorithm.
Every version keeps the rhythm, the humor, the shrug of someone whoâs been through everything and is still amused by it. Merlinâs there too â always scribbling that magic sign on the wall while the station lights flicker.
Itâs blues, itâs afterlife, itâs language as reincarnation â and every track sounds like itâs coming through an old radio in another dimension.
So buckle up, angels â next stop: Bardo Station Number Nine.â

đïž ZOOM INTRO â âBardo Station #9â
âOkay folks⊠tonight weâre takinâ a little trip.
Not far, just⊠beyond the grave.
This next piece is called Bardo Station Number Nine.
Itâs that smoky stop between lives â where the lights flicker, the train never really arrives,
and youâre just standing there, holding your old ticket, wondering who youâre gonna be next.
Weâve run this one in twenty languages â yeah, the trainâs got a lotta stations â
but itâs all the same story:
sold your soul for a couple bucks, got it back in change, and still made the last ride home.
So settle in.
Dim the lights if you want.
If you listen close, you might just hear Merlin scratching that magic sign on the wall.
Alright, letâs roll itâŠ
Bardo Station Number Nine.â

đ” Bardo Station Number Nine
[Verse 1]
I took my troubles way beyond the grave,
I wasnât feeling very tough or brave.
I sold my potions on Hollywood and Vine,
And there I was at
Bardo Station Number Nine.
[Chorus]
I sold my soul for just a couple bucks,
Death is a pain, but life really sucks.
My buddy Merlin made a magic sign,
Bardo Station Number Nine.
[Verse 2]
Without the Beta Brain, I just couldnât think,
My Body of Habits â they began to sink.
Event Horizons seemed to pass the brink,
I stood there and was afraid to blink.
[Verse 3]
I didnât know if it was day or night,
I started blessing everything in sight.
But when I grew some wings and took my flight,
I knew that everything would be all right.
[Chorus (Repeat)]
I sold my soul for just a couple bucks,
Death is a pain, but life really sucks.
My buddy Merlin made a magic sign,
Bardo Station Number Nine.
