Kahuna and the Brain

Here’s my suno version of “Kahuna and the Brain” — I’ll explain:

Years ago, our live band did a series of Wall Street songs, the most popular of which was “Kahuna and the Brain”, celebrating Joe Kernen and David Faber’s broadcast on Squawk Box. Our band appeared on their show over a four-hour period, playing our songs and being interviewed by Mark Haines.

The camera van arrived here at 2 a.m., and we did the show from our barn studio. I still have the video footage here somewhere… ah, here it is:

I didn’t include the whole interview for the youtube version, but I have the whole thing right here on my hard drive — I’ll play it for you at our zoom gathering, if you like.

This performance had tens of millions of viewers — we had several number one hits on mp3.com, and dozens in the top 40 at the time.

Not one album sale can be attributed to this world-wide broadcast to millions of people.

That, in a nutshell, is the story of marketing in modern times, and it’s why I don’t do interviews or cameos and haven’t, since that time, in 1999.

There are twelve more Wall Street songs up on youtube, on the insane investor’s channel.
