Each piece is:

Hand-picked from the private studio archive.
-
Pencil-signed, unnumbered Limited Edition.

Yours for just 1 Goldback.
First claim in the chat gets it. We’ll go piece by piece. Stop me if I hit something you like — you don’t have to actually BID on it to stop me — it’s similar to many card tricks — “stop me whenever you want”. I then open the bidding at one goldback.
🎨 One Goldback at a Time
An Invitation to Trade — From the Vault of E.J. Gold
We’ll be going on two tours today, one video tour and the other will be a tour of all of us collectively taking a route that plows through many many images of all sorts of things which you can acquire in TRADE for Goldbacks.
I’ll be rummaging — image by image, memory by memory — through hundreds of rare, unusual, and meaningful pieces in my photo files.
By the way, I would never put up a nude like the one above, on eBay or Etsy, and I’d only put it up for trade in Goldbacks. Can’t buy this with fiat currency, only TRADE for Goldbacks.
I’ll be showing prints, drawings, watercolors, sketches, paintings — maybe even a few unusual photos — things that have lived quietly in my files of the production of my painting and pastel and jewelry and crafting studios, and have lain stored up and silent, in my flat-files for years, NOT for sale, but ARE up for TRADE, but ONLY for trade.
Each one has a story, and now I’m offering them up, not for cash, but for one Goldback.
These pieces, if issued in Shoestring Print form, it would be a couple hundred bucks apiece. You get an 8 1/2″x11″ for only 1 Goldback.
That’s right. One Goldback — but only because it’s gold. Never mind the dollar value. It’s a fair trade.
Not a price tag — not a dollar value, but a gesture of trade.
Something real in exchange for something real. A handshake in the old way.
These are all pencil-signed works, limited but unnumbered, drawn from my private archive. Each is 8½” x 11″ full-color, professionally printed, and ready to travel from my world into yours.
No fanfare, no ceremony — I’ll hold up a piece, tell you whatever I feel like saying in the moment, and if the piece calls to you, claim it in the chat. If it’s a tie, I’ll break it by trading two pieces, or however many bid on it at 1 Goldback. That’s the plan for today.
You’ll pay next to nothing for it, but you can sell it for full retail, if you have a buyer. What is retail? Depends. Unframed, anywhere from $35-$50 depending on where your shop is located, if you even have a shop.
Framed, anywhere from $125-$350 depending on the frame, and the neighborhood.
There’s no telling what we’ll find in my files. Most of what you’re going to see has never been shown or offered for sale.
This is my private stock.
It’s cheaper to buy prints by the dozen, because the shipping can be so blisteringly bad.
When we receive your Goldbacks, we ship — the cost of shipping is one thing over which we have no control whatsoever, but rest assured that fine art is exempt from import duty in Canada, so it’s just the shipping — you can and should include the shipping in ordinary currency — we don’t get that — it goes to the shipping people.
Your Fine Art ships flat in a 9″x12″ envelope. By the by, Goldbacks also ship flat, in an ordinary letter type envelope, but don’t try that with a stack of 100.
You can buy the Goldbacks in the States from U.S. based dealers, and have them drop-ship them directly to us, thus saving international hassles and possible loss through confusion and compound error.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If it’s a download item, we pay the shipping.
