The Sandwich Guy Blues

Sean Charles Dunn, age 37, is a Washington D.C. resident and former employee of the U.S. Department of Justice. On August 10, 2025, he approached a group of federal law-enforcement officers in D.C. and threw a “sub-style sandwich” — described as a salami hoagie — at one of them while shouting things like “You fascists! Why are you here? I don’t want you in my city!” Afterward, he admitted plainly, “I did it. I threw a sandwich.” Continue reading

Kahuna and the Brain

Here’s my suno version of “Kahuna and the Brain” — I’ll explain:

Years ago, our live band did a series of Wall Street songs, the most popular of which was “Kahuna and the Brain”, celebrating Joe Kernen and David Faber’s broadcast on Squawk Box. Bardo Bus News

A strange thing happened this summer — a band with no history, no gigs, and no traceable members shot up the streaming charts. It called itself The Velvet Sundown, and before long, listeners began to suspect there wasn’t a single living musician behind it. What followed was a glimpse into the near future of music. They Don’t Understand a Word I’m Saying

LED Wishing Candle & Power Base (no flame) — handpainted by ej gold.

When you listen to a song in a language you don’t understand, something extraordinary happens — something that rarely occurs when you already know the meaning of the words. Your mind, relieved of its usual duty to analyze and interpret, begins to listen differently. The words stop being linguistic markers and become pure sound — shapes, rhythms, emotional tones. The human voice, freed from language, becomes an instrument, like a cello or saxophone, carrying meaning through vibration rather than vocabulary. Continue reading

An Essay on Bullies

E.J.Gold painted matchboxes, no two alike, painted to your order, 1 goldback.

Here’s a lesson in blog composition:

“When a big bully dominates the schoolyard, nobody has fun, not even he, but you’d never convince him to change his ways without a punch in the face.

“Unfortunately, although there are plenty of motives and abundant means, there is no opportunity, so that’s not an option.

“Leaving the schoolyard is often the only solution, retreating to the school classrooms for protection.

“But what if the bully also rules the classrooms?” Continue reading
