Your Museum Donation Could Make History!!!

x
Original Signed Picasso Copperplate Engraving of Ballet Dancers, 1945.

I have several museum-grade collections just sitting in three bank vaults — important art historical art and literature collections that would be highly appreciated by any public institution that received them. They are of the highest caliber and significance. You might want to purchase one or more of them and donate them to your favorite museum, university or library or build a space to house one or more of these collections. All the collections are legal to own, and have been on public display in the United States for more than half a century.

Typically, museums don’t buy things — they expect them to be donated, and many people enjoy tax benefits from buying collections and then donating them to a museum, library or university, as well as other venues such as jazz schools, jazz clubs, jazz and art academies and even malls and shops, medical waiting rooms and hospital hallways, where the weight limitations are very important and easily met by our display team technologies, and several folks have donated their collections to local Elks clubs and other public benefit organizations.

There are many other benefits that might accrue for you or someone you know, resulting from the donation of an important art or history collection, not the least of which is the sheer pleasure you get from sharing with thousands of people the beauty that you have discovered in your life, possibly bringing love, joy and beauty to theirs as well.

In addition, if your gift is important enough, you might have a Hall or a Wing named after yourself, or a loved one in memoriam, or you might elect to donate anonymously or posthumously or both. I’d discuss Living Trusts and other instruments with my accountant and attorney before making any decisions, though — you never really know what your options are until you check with the professionals for professional advice that they can guarantee and for which they take responsibility.

  • The Jerry Hodges Paleontology Collection — Jurassic Period Dinosaur Fossils dominate this important collection amassed by world-famous fossil-hunter Jerry Hodges. This is an entire HALL-full of items, possibly a Wing, or group of Halls. The collection, which includes a Stegosaurus Egg Clutch, incredible deodont skulls, mammoth bones and matrix fossils, plus several very important Skull-Duggery Museum-Grade Replicas, is priced at only $35,000.00.
  • Post-Impressionists — Starting with Renoir, Degas and Manet, this collection of original works on paper by the most famous artists in history is sure to please any curator or acquisitions director in any museum, even at the highest levels, because it contains several important UNIQUES, that don’t appear anywhere else in the world. Cost of collection including one Renoir Unique, is only $320,000.00. This collection is housed in a temperature and humidity controlled bank vault, and is guaranteed authentic in every respect.
  • Ancient Faces — An important collection of exquisitely modeled ancient portraits in marble, granite, limestone, terra-cotta, glass, ivory, bronze and wood, including Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Sumerian, Akkadian, Babylonian, Chinese, Japanese, Pre-Columbian Cultures and more, at a collection cost of only $180,000.00.
  • Picasso Linocuts — A complete and rare collection of 45 full-color linoleum cuts by Abrams, a stunningly beautiful and impressive Picasso Exhibition, priced at an affordable $2,800 for all 45 GENUINE linocuts after Picasso, the first printing, not the cheaper later edition issue, this would make a great reseller item as well — if you got only $200 apiece for these — well, do the math, then check the market, and you’ll see these linocuts for anywhere from $50 apiece for the less interesting ones to well over $400 for the better ones, and upwards of $1500 for the most valued of them, right there on eBay and other sales venues. Check it out before you buy!!!
  • Mummies, Myth & Magic — A fabulous collection of ancient magical devices and apparati used by ancient illuminati, includes several important items related to mummification, but no actual mummies. Mummy cases, animal mummies and funerary masks, some made of solid gold, are available if desired. Collection is priced at $45,000.00 and most of the items are absolutely unobtainable anywhere else, and many are not seen even in the most important museums!!! Many items in museums are never publicly displayed.
  • Abstract Expressionism — Important original works on paper by Joseph Albers, William Baziotes, Willem deKooning, Grace Hartigan and many more.
  • New York School — Hundreds of signed original lithographs from virtually every member of the world-famous Artists Equity, spanning a period of several decades during the Golden Age of Expressionism, this collection is priced at only $4,500.00 a total steal by any standards. Contains HUNDREDS of original New York School Artists’ Equity original lithos, HUNDREDS of them, with the TOP NAMES IN MODERN ART, all plate-signed and personally produced by the most famous artists of their time, the Abstract Expressionists.

This would make an incredible collection for display in a school of dance or a ballet performance venue. Priced at only $55,000.00 this would be a plus for any gay interest, dance or theater interest and of course Picasso life-drawing and modeling skills interest. You’ll find classical drawings by Picasso throughout his long life and art career.
  • Ancient Medical Tools — A mounted exhibition of medical and dental tools comes with a copy of the textbook that identifies each and every one of them correctly. It is amazing that over 130 ancient operations are still being performed in the same way today, and that dental tools have not changed at all from the ancient Roman bronze tools that are in this important medical history collection. It would look incredible in a hospital if the display could be handled according to hospital regulations, or in a school of medicine or dentistry, or in a doctor’s or dentist’s waiting room. Fully mounted in an exhibition grouping, this is priced at $38,500.00 PLUS shipping. The cases are large and heavy, but can be reduced for no additional cost if you want to accommodate a smaller exhibit space. Shipping would be around $1,500 to most places in the U.S. and Canada, I’m told.
  • Bauhaus — Albers, Kandinsky, Klee & Moholy-Nagy are featured in this important collection, priced at only $22,500.00.
  • The Post-Impressionists — Bonnard, Cezanne, Gauguin, Pisarro and more are featured in this important collection of original works on paper, worthy of permanent installation in any art museum anywhere in the world or out of it, if aliens with local currency are reading this right now. Entire collection priced at only $175,000.00, these come FRAMED in museum-grade SEALED fully archival mountings with extra UV protection.
  • The Surrealists — Original works on paper by Hans (Jean) Arp, William Baziotes, Georges Braque, Alexander Calder, Salvatore Dali, Arshile Gorky, Alberto Giacometti, Wassily Kandinsky, Joan Miro, Pablo Picasso and more. Priced at only $45,000.00 this is a very compelling exhibition that any small museum could turn into a Blockbuster Show on a local level. It would cause no thrill or wonder if offered to the Brooklyn or the Modern, but anywhere short of that, they’d gawk and stare and lust after this collection, believe it.
  • Rembrandt — Several Important original etchings by the greatest master of them all, containing famous collector’s marks on very beautiful and lush Rembrandt etchings, all of which are fully attributed. This collection is priced at only $450,000.00, and includes a $125,000.00 plate of “Descent from the Cross at Night” and “St. Jerome in a Darkened Chamber” as well as other masterpieces in rich and stunning examples. The entire collection can be viewed by any expert you wish to have examine and value them, at your expense, of course. I will send photos to any serious inquiry.
  • Van Ostade — Important collection of original plates by Adrienne van Ostade, these are from my personal collection of favorite 17th century masterpieces, and include his greatest, “Man Smoking in Window”, absolutely a smashing piece, together with other smaller but equally famous etchings by this incredible Dutch Master. Whole collection is priced at only $9,500.00 and most of these cannot be found today on the open market. All fully attributed with full writeups and exhibition frames.
  • Old Masters — Important collection of original etchings by the greatest Medieval and Renaissance Dutch and Belgian “Lowland” artists of their time, this collection is FRAMED and comes at the ridiculously low price of $45,000.00 — a fraction of their retail gallery value, so you could easily resell these at a remarkable profit, if you had the buyers who could appreciate them.
  • Leonard Baskin Collection — Incredible and unusual DOUBLE collection of exhibition prints by Leonard Baskin in two groupings, Anatomical Woodcuts, and “Fifteen Woodcuts” — Baskin was a friend, and was one of the three greatest modern woodcut artists of all time. This would make a great exhibit in a body  worker’s space, or a body-training area where you get high-grade clientele who recognize and appreciate modern art, a rarity these days, I’m afraid, but still possible. Priced at a mere $750.00, this double exhibit could bring in some money and/or traffic to a stalled retail or exhibit space.
  • Ancient Jewelry Collection — A large and important collection of ancient jewelry from the earliest times before recorded history, these were reconstructed from ancient parts for museum exhibit, but since the museum went virtual, they have been recreated in model form, to be shown online in a 3D virtual museum, so they are now available to be placed in a public showcase, possibly a museum or a very fancy retail jewelry shop that wants to show the history of personal adornment. These are so rare and so exquisite that even a major museum might consider them for their collections. Priced to sell at only $300,000.00, this could put a local or regional museum on the map.
  • Ancient Beads — An important collection of many of the most important and rarest beads of antiquity. Collection is priced at only $338,000.00 and contains incredibly rare black amber, Phoenician eye beads, many beads pictured in textbooks, some of which were photographed from my collection for the books. This is a very, very important collection of rare ancient beads, and needs to be on exhibit somewhere. I originally collected them to keep them off the trade market. They are museum grade and should not be privately owned.
  • Degas Collection — An important collection of etchings by the great master, almost unobtainable today. This would be a very good candidate for a permanent exhibit, and would certainly be a news item in a smaller city or town. Priced at only $38,000.00, this collection features impressions from STRUCK PLATES that are historically very important. These are NOT the later prints taken from surviving plates, but impressions taken early in the plate history, just at the moment of strike. They are among the rarest personal etchings created by Degas not for the public, nor for sale, they were intended as explorations and investigations. One print is so rare that it has never been seen by most Degas experts!
  • EJ Gold Jazz Portraits — Why not? The Smithsonian National Gallery already owns my portrait of Herbie Hancock, so why wouldn’t they want to acquire the rest of the collection? You could be the patron who donates it to them, and if they don’t want it, there are plenty of jazz-oriented schools, colleges and music conservatories who would just love a collection of original pastels of the earliest jazz greats right up to modern times! The ENTIRE Collection is priced at only $48,000.00 for 24 ORIGINAL PASTELS of the most famous jazz musicians of all time, which is far below their gallery prices. This does NOT include publication rights, which are strictly reserved. Photos and publication in journals or online, of pieces contained in the collection, are allowed for exhibition and promotional purposes.
  • EJ Gold JazzArt Paintings — A collection of over 100 original paintings that have appeared onstage with the jazz greats, and were exhibited at the most important jazz venues in the world, together with photos of the jazz celebrities onstage with the artwork at the most important events in modern jazz history. This collection features paintings that are 8 feet wide and 11 to 13 feet tall, plus gigantic standalone pillars and smaller wall paintings, all of which were featured at major jazz venues throughout the world, with hundreds of photos that document it all. Collection is priced at $2.4 million and would be worth every penny to a jazz institution. You can research this and you’ll find that this collection is a world-class museum grade collection that any museum no matter how large would appreciate receiving and showing.
  • EJ Gold Celebrity Photos — An important collection of intense portraits in special high-technology prints, of some of the most famous people in the entertainment industry. Collection of high-grade celebrity photos is priced at $4,500.00 — only ten copies of this famous historical photo exhibition are being produced, total.
  • The Claude Needham Sculpture Garden — An entire garden of wood, metal and stone sculptures by the world-famous sculptor and physicist, Dr. Claude Needham. Various collections and sizes of pieces are available, information upon written request, prices from $4,500 up, individual pieces vary in price and size.
  • The Douglass Truth Collection — An important collection of private paintings by the world-famous California Artist. Sizes of pieces and depth and range of collections will vary. Prices from $4,500 for collections, individual pieces are also available.
  • Tom X Collection — The most complete collection of  HUNDREDS of Tom X.’s original EARLY PERIOD paintings, drawings, sketches, sculptures and pastels on the planet. Entire collection would require a very large space, and is priced to sell at only $300,000.00, a tiny fraction of the total value of this ENORMOUS and amazing collection. This needs to be seen by the public! Someone get behind it and make this happen!!!
  • The Theodora van Runkle Collection of Ancient Gold — Published by Malter and featured in Ornament Magazine, this collection of ancient gold artifacts dating back to the earliest metalworking period is amazing, incredible and unlike anything you’ve ever seen except at a major museum such as the British Museum or the Met. These are important and stunningly beautiful examples of ancient goldworking art, and the entire collection, spanning more than 3,000 years of ancient goldworking crafts, is priced at only $338,000.00 which includes the mountings, display stands, exhibit cards and photos and much, much more.
  • The Moses Collection of Ancient Pottery — A HUGE collection of ancient pottery from the Captivity in Egypt through the Exodus in the desert, this collection is absolutely unique — there isn’t another one like it on the open market anywhere, and it’s priced at only $300,000.00, guaranteed not merely genuine, but important and vital to Jewish history. Moses could easily have used any one of these pottery items!
  • The Terry Moore Meteorite Collection — A fabulous collection of incredibly rare meteorites including a meteorite that contains fragments of an exploded star that existed before our sun and solar system came into existence 4.5 billion years ago. the entire collection is priced at only $38,000.00, and includes some specimens weighing upwards of 1 kilogram and many examples of thumb-print and fusion crust. This is not an amateur’s collection or a seller’s collection — it is a very important collection of very powerful highly charged exo-planetary meteorites that radiate energy.
  • The Donner Party — A collection of original diary material including private letters between the Donner girls, both survivors of the Donner Party Disaster. Includes many photos, signed documents, original letters and much, much more, all coming to you directly from the Donner family itself. Includes PUBLISHING RIGHTS, which can be exercised by enlarging the previous famously published edition in the 19th century, with these important additions. The sisters did not expect their letters to be made public, and they are very candid on the subject of cannibalism. Price of this historically important collection is only $300,000.00, and authenticity is absolutely guaranteed. Experts can view the documents and all provenances.
  • Horace L. Gold Library of Science Fiction — This needs to go to a university library, quickly, while it’s still in perfect condition. Someone please buy it at $4,500, to cover the cost of storage for the past ten years, and ship it to a receiving and grateful institution somewhere. There have been MANY MANY requests for donation of this material, but I want someone else to donate it so you can take any tax benefits that might or might not accrue. I don’t know tax laws, so I can’t advise you there, but I do know that you can get some sort of benefit from donating things or money, but it’s strictly between you and your accountant. I don’t know the money value of the collection, but the historical value of the books in his personal library from which he drew his inspirations, and in which many of his stories appear, is beyond compare. Many items in the collection don’t exist anywhere else and have been long lost and forgotten in the sci-fi world, to be rediscovered at a later, more appreciative, time.
  • Georges I. Gurdjieff Library Collection — A very very large collection of Gurdjieff and Gurdjieff-related material from my bookstore, exactly as it came in and sat on the shelves for decades, building and accumulating books until it became the size it is now, which is “ridiculously large”, more books than one person could read in a lifetime. It is being sold unedited, meaning that NO books or items will be removed or “cherry-picked” out of the collection. Whatever is in there is what goes, including whatever’s in the attic. The book values will be calculated upon interest, meaning that if you take the time to inquire, I’ll do the research and cataloging of the books in the collection, and price it accordingly — many of the books are currently unobtainable in any form at any price, I’m told — this includes a copy made in the 1970s of the original manuscript in English of Beelzebub’s Tales, plus a secret printing of an Orage book called “Gospel According to Orage” and other very very secret and very important private publications, etc. all accumulated in my bookstore over the decades, as I’ve already indicated. Also included in the collection is the first American Edition, with the Original Prospectus, and more.
  • The Platt Rogers Spencer Collection of Spencerian Handwriting — This is a very important collection of examples of handwriting by famous 19th century writers, along with original handwriting examples by the inventor of Spencerian handwriting, includes a manuscript copy typed in 1912 of Spencer’s original textbook, with Presidential introduction, more. Very important historical documents would be appreciated by any graduate library or historical institution. Spencerian handwriting was the universal standard in 19th century educational institutions, and this would be the most important collection of Spencerian Handwriting outside the Capitol Building of the United States, where his work is permanently displayed on the walls of the Rotunda — his copies of the most famous U.S. documents is what you see on the walls. Collection is priced at only $38,000.00 and is priceless — there is no other example or collection like this anywhere in the world!
  • EJ Gold Private Lincoln Cents Collection — Includes 1909s VDB & Key Coins but NOT the 1955 Double Die, which I do not consider part of the official run, at only $6500 and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! All coins were personally found by me and placed into the binder. I spent about two years finding all the coins, and throughout, I replaced coins with better states and conditions as they were found. This would make a terrific exhibit and can excite kids to enter the field of numismatics and therefore the entire subject of American History, which leads further and further. You might even consider giving this as a “Legacy Gift” to a child or grandchild. It isn’t going to get any less rare as the years go by. I have another collection not as good, but still very nice, all personally collected by me from “pocket change”, which is only $4,500.
  • EJ Gold Curated Ancient Greek Coins Collection — A very historically important and exciting collection of LARGE SILVER Ancient Greek coins that, when attributed, can be exhibited or sold. These are intentionally priced unattributed, so you can have the fun of discovery, and the possibility of a real treasure! It’s like getting hold of untested minehead soil or a roll of unsearched early Lincoln pennies. Whole collection is only $4,500.00 — what I paid originally for it! This collection needs to be seen, and if you’re willing to do the research, it will open doors and windows for you as well.
  • EJ Gold Curated Important Ancient Greek Coin Collection — A collection of fully attributed and VERY RARE Greek numismatic issues that are almost impossible to find today, including coins from Lesbos and other important ancient sites, plus many coins with no other examples existing today, meaning a “POPULATION 1” coin — the whole incredible RARE collection features HEALING and PURIFICATION reverses and GODS & GODDESSES themes, priced at $45,000.00, this is the ultimate Greek Types Collection.
  • EJ Gold Curated Artists’ Books Collection — I put this collection together for museum and graduate library exhibit. It includes some of the most important books containing original artwork ever printed, featuring the most important artists on the planet. Original works that are impressive, show well, and create a basis for both public information and increased traffic in your installation area. Collection is priced to sell at $138,500.00 — you can have an expert value it for you at your expense, but I won’t catalog the collection unless there is serious inquiry — it’s about a month’s work, if I’m lucky, just to LIST all the books and get their current market values, and in some cases, the books are so rare that there are no other offerings with which to compare them. My estimate on the selling price would be upwards of $300,000.00 to be realistic. This includes some of the rarest Livres d’Artist ever created, and would be a real boon to a small art museum, giving it at least ten years of crowd-drawing world-class art by world-class artists.
  • EJ Gold Curated Roman Coin Collection — A very full collection of beautiful and fascinating ancient Roman coins that would show well in any setting, priced at an affordable $38,500.00. I have another collection of even more important Jewish coinage that would sell for much more, but I won’t evaluate it unless there’s serious interest from a party able to handle it — my estimate is around $90,000.00 for this collection.
  • EJ Gold Curated Ancient Jewish Coin Collection — Ancient Jewish coins found in Israel tracing the path of the Jewish Peoples from about 500 B.C. to about 100 A.D.  These include many coins not typically found in private collections today. The collection is priced at only $34,800.00.
  • EJ Gold Curated Ancient Jewish ERROR Coins — An amazing collection of error coins minted two millenia ago in ancient Roman-occupied Israel, from my personal collection of error coins, priced at only $4,500, this is a very exciting collection, because ancient error coins seldom turn up on the open market and never at this price.
  • EJ Gold Curated Ancient Greek Theater Collection — A stunning collection of the utmost rarity, these are terra-cotta statuettes of actors and miniature terra-cotta masks worn by actors in Ancient Greek Drama & Comedy, featuring several trans-gender costumes  and what are now considered gay costumes and appearances — women were not permitted onstage from antiquity until Shakespeare’s time, and only began appearing openly onstage fairly recently, and the actor’s profession is still regarded as somewhat soiled. Entire Collection priced at only $55,000.
  • EJ Gold Curated King Tut Collection — A collection of original artifacts from the North Palace at Amarna, dated to around 1350 B.C., XVIIIth Dynasty, all directly related to the reign of King Tut, all items catalogued in the official Egypt Exploration Society archives and records, together with the tomb records and documents related to their excavation. This is a legally-owned recorded excavation, sold by the E.E.S. at public auction. Complete documentation and provenance of collection is included. This is a very very important collection, and will definitely generate headlines in a small town, possibly a back-page notice in a very large city, but rest assured that it is a very important group of artifacts, and items like this are unobtainable today. Collection cost: $85,000.00
  • EJ Gold Personal Woodstock Artists Collection — These are paintings that I bought or received from my Woodstock artist friends and teachers, all of whom achieved some fame in the regional art of the Hudson Valley Artists and Woodstock Artists League. I would very much like it if someone would purchase these — the value of the entire collection is only $4,500 — and donate them to a museum that would appreciate Woodstock art and artists, possibly the Association itself, or some Woodstock Art league member would consider housing the collection there in Woodstock, where it would do the most good. I’ve had them long enough, and they gather dust on my wall. They need to be seen.
  • Werkman Jewish Art Holocaust Graphics Exhibit — The most important collection of Werkman graphics in the world. Werkman was executed by a Gestapo firing squad  just three days before Liberation, in March of 1945. All his surviving works were burned by the Gestapo with the singular exception of this collection of his works. This would be very appreciated by any Jewish institution, Synagogue, library, museum, school or camp. The cost is only $2,500.

These collections are available for viewing, but please remember that we have to haul them out of storage, and in the case of high-value items, out of a bank vault, which means that you and/or your art or coin or antique or book expert will have to meet me at the bank, and all examinations are to be conducted there. I will not ship things for examination since the incident where someone removed a Renoir from my frame and returned the frame with a xeroxed print. Never again. If your expert is recognized by me, I might consider shipping originals for examination, at YOUR expense, not mine. All such shipments MUST be covered by insurance including the time they spend at the expert’s space.

I absolutely unconditionally guarantee the authenticity of everything I sell, and it’s guaranteed not only lifetime, but forever. I only deal straight, that’s the only way worth dealing, and I like happy repeat customers. My only aim here is to get these things into public view, and on public display.

I have a number of books that are called, in the book trade, “breakers”, because they can be plundered for their original bound-in artwork by Renoir, Pissaro, Gauguin, Chagall, Miro, Matisse, Picasso and others. I wanted to preserve the bound copies and keep them from breakers, and I did, but now must find help preserving them. Anyone interested in my Book Preservation Program, and is in a position to help financially with the project, please let me know. My personal preference is to have an Ashram where all these things can be on display, but that might not happen in my lifetime.

See You At The Top!!!
