It seems like yesterday that Dickie Dawson and I ran comedy skits at his “Tempo” show on KHJ-TV Los Angeles.

It was only one of many daytime tv shows I did back in the day, along with hundreds of hours on radio, mostly Pacifica PBS shows with Amanda Foulger and others, plus workshops at Esalen and across the country.

Even if I had the strength and youthful energy to do these things today, I would not do any of them. Not any.

Why?

It’s just not worth it. No matter what you can think of doing, someone, somewhere is doing it already, and you’re just reinventing the wheel.

So what do you do with total personal freedom and power?

Well, what I’ve done with it is to issue a command to all humans everywhere:

“Do what you do.”

This is sort of the equivalent of “To be, or not to be. Wait. What? Like, yeah. I know, right???”

Ordering a human to do what it does is very much like shouting to the rain, “Come on down, the weather’s fine!”

Total power includes the power to let things be.

Whatever you do, wherever you go, whomever you see, it comes out the same in the end, and the road is endless, so what is the end?

The end is just another spot on the journey. There are thousands of them, millions of them, all of them “endings”, and yet there is not even the jot of a step difference when it happens.

Here we are, on the Eve of Destruction, and it also happens to be the Eve of Release of the Godd™ Particle.

We’re still having a peculiar sound issue, which is what’s now holding it up. We’ve spent countless hours running it down, and it’s still eluding us.

We’re hoping Dick has a solution soon.

So in the meantime, we’re working on the Orbs, refining, refining and refining, running down even the slightest chance that someone will work out a way to wedge themselves into a spot that nobody could get into in a zillion years.

That’s Barbara’s Department. She runs down all those zany things that people somehow manage to do to themselves while running an otherwise thoroughly normal and pleasant war zone.

Every time Barbara has to test an Orb, she has to run it all the way through. In the case of the Godd™ Particle, that’s a whalloping hour at a complete dead-run without stopping or hesitating even a second.

Multiply that by a thousand, and you get what she contributes to the team. Add the work that Dick does to get the engine to accommodate the latest little Windows bomb, and what Claude does to get the model animations to work in the environment, and you get a massive effort toward completion.

Even if we had more programmers — which I hope will happen soon — they couldn’t get it done faster. The engine has to be reworked because of recent changes in how Windows handles swapfiles, and that’s what we’re left with.

Now, new game developers are coming along — we have about 20 very serious Blue Line students, and more are trickling in.

We have a very active gathering on ZOOM, and there’s all kinds of opportunities to ask questions and learn how to do things in Godd.

One thing I might mention: you should consider, as you build in there, that within that world, there will be living creatures, even if that life happens to be virtual and to you, unreal.

To them, it’s very real, and they don’t like getting shot when they’re just minding the store for you.

When you stick a creature in there somewhere and program them in the .ini file to take certain actions when triggered, you should consider the wear and tear on the creature, and take note of it, make some effort to ease the suffering.

That’s the basic goal of every passerby who happens to glance over at Planet Earth.

Clearly, it’s in trouble. It’s up to us to get behind the movement to Just Let Things Be, and you’re no exception.

And hey, if the humans of Planet Earth misbehave and continue to wreck their world, we need to enforce the rule, “Do What You Do”.

But how???

Make them be what they are? Make them do what they do?

I forget the spell for that, but they seem to obey the rule anyway, and on the practical side, I should mention that I’ve recovered access to my “insaneinvestor” account on eBay, so come visit, tell me what you think about the few things I’ve posted there — I’d appreciate your input.

Hey, if anyone has an inkling of what people are interested in these days, please let me know. Damn if I can figure it out, beyond Charmin toilet paper and household cleaning supplies and, of course, overpopulated areas with hordes of unmasked Republicans.

I know, get off the publicans, but they are SO dumb! I just can’t help making fun of them.

The Party of Lincoln and Trump, haw, haw!!!

So why don’t they have an equal number of Dems and Pubs in Congress. Gosh, Congress is so aptly named. You get screwed no matter what you do.

Well, I’m gonna go grab me some grub over at the chuck wagon, before I chase down some dogies and play my mouth harp while my cayute is shlepping across the plains.

In short, it’s time for breakfast, and the morning ZOOM meeting. There is no “Trump’s Brain” — it was just a graphics gag that’s left over from the video game comedy stuff.

See You At The Top!!!
