ESCAPE! Videos #22

We still have a full stock of hot sauces, just in case our relatives drop in.

Before we delve into the realm of video merriment, I’d like to take a few moments to explain exactly how a certain type of video gaming can expand consciousness, while other forms of gaming can drive it down even deeper into the mud.

Gosh, before I do any explaining about the mud, I guess I’d better explain why anyone would want to expand their consciousness outside the mud puddle, anyway.

Okay, you start out as a little squirt, and everything’s about you, and if you’re a breast-baby, that goes double. You want your way, and if you don’ t get your way, you have a hissy-fit.

By the time you’re five years old and playing somewhere other than a sandbox, you’ll hopefully expanded your friends and family and possibly teachers and local merchants into your protective bubble of caring and consideration, and in cases where that doesn’t happen, you get a pitiful creature like Trump, whose reality stops at his own skin. ESCAPE! Videos #20

In a minute, some ESCAPE! Videos for your pleasure, amusement & entertainment, but first, I’d like to invite you to take a look at what I put up in a single night on eBay …

What that’s about is that a number of folks wanted to buy my art prints at $125 apiece and sell them for $250. I put a number of pieces up on eBay, as you see, pricing them at a retail of $299.00, which is a lot cheaper than we used to sell them, but that’s the market today, base $300.00 — go any higher and they panic and phone their accountants and their bank.

You can buy those pieces listed on eBay directly from the Institute and sell them for whatever the market will bear, but I hope you’ll be fair with your customers — you want that tenth sale and the twentieth.

What you can do is get pre-cut double mat boards that finish out to the size of the frame, which can vary quite a lot, depending on what you choose. I like a large mat and a fancy frame for my selling space, but a simpler frame at home.

All of the pieces I’ve listed on eBay have history and a story, the very things you need to make them sell like hotcakes. Whoever noted the hotcake sales and compared them to art sales, I wonder ….???

Well, no matter. Let me know how you do with these market indicators — it gives you a starting point, and we can add to the mix as needed. You’ll find the support photos and promotional material included in the eBay listings, for your convenience. Continue reading

ESCAPE! Videos #19

Relax — we’re safe now, at least as safe as one can be on a Vogon Destructor Fleet’s flagship. The mid-terms are finally mostly over, and there are no shock troops marching up and down the square. We’re safe, at least for the moment.

So as long as we’re somewhat safe, let’s take a look at the prospects for the future, for our community of work. Here’s a video that might provide you with some of the most basic answers about how to go about your Objective Essence Task — that of “growing our channel”, as they say on youtube and other media outlets.

I thought the Jedi Mind Trick would be a great introduction to the art and skill of learning how and when to ask for help — the key ingredient and the main lesson of the American Book of the Dead. Continue reading

ESCAPE! Videos #18

I know what you mean — I was fooled by the title at first. What they mean is, “world’s worst sci-fi” in front of an audience, on the tv show, “Who’s line is it anyway?”, which brought improv onto the tv screen back in the day.

Now, Superband plays on the street in New Orleans, and as you’ll see, it’s quite a crowd today — sometimes only a few of them show up, sometimes it’s everyone. Continue reading

It’s goddam impossible to ignore — the political assholes are pushing the rest of us through a meat-grinder and mud, just to get where they’re going, which is a planet full of nothing but them and an incoming cometary mass.

The comet was my idea.

I went to high school at Riverside Military Academy, in Gainesville, Georgia, the chicken capital of the world, and while there, I noted the absence of anyone of color except in the kitchen, and overheard kids talking about how the south will rise again, and slavery will be restored. I hope you enjoyed the Pluto/Mars thing. I thought it was very witty. So, what I’ve envisioned with my ESCAPE! Videos is dependency.

What I mean is, I want to create a place where you can go to get lost for a while, to escape from Planet Earth’s gritty, messy gore and circumstance, the Sturm und Drang of humanity.

What I’m after is a source, a veritable fountain of wit and humor and interesting things for you to discover every single day and get uplifted as Hell.

Each of these ESCAPE! Video blogs takes between 4 and 6 hours to accomplish, with a lot of rejection behind me — I only keep the videos that are good all the way through, and that are not mean or negative.

I’m always on the lookout for funny stuff with significance and meaning — stuff that can cheer you up when you remember how it really is out there — if you get my drift.

With that and little else in mind, here’s a rousing, uplifting song that’s bound to cheer you up: Continue reading

ESCAPE! Videos #13

I hope we make it out of Earth orbit soon, I’m running out of escape videos… Well, here are a few, to tide you over until the next wave:

Not funny, it’s true, but interesting, highly informative and well-produced. Of course, there are other explanations for the examples she gives, but let’s leave it at “Parallel Universes”, and speaking of parallel universes, I think you’ll get a kick out of this quantum piece by acapella science.
