In 1965, Bea Stanley and several other students at Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles came up with the idea of a festival to celebrate the Vernal Equinox and the event known today as “Easter”, a corruption of the word “Ishtar”, celebrating the descent of the Goddess into the Underworld and Her Triumphant Return (after the traditional 3 days & 3 nights including meals and tips, in the traditional Grave). These days, she’s had a sex-change and appears as the Easter Rabbit, leaving little eggs all over the White House lawn. Please don’t forget what this Sacred Holyday is all about — chocolate.

I’m posting this for those interested in any form of drumming, whether kit or hand percussion. The points they make are for anyone who makes music, and some who don’t. I’ll be teaching lots of music stuff every day for as long as I can maintain it. Meanwhile, take the time to watch and listen to these guys — they really do know what they’re talkin’ about, and you would do well to take heed.
Solid Silver Open-hole Gemeinhardt flute has produced amazing results for CDs, but Native American flutes are very different in timbre and fluctuation.
Starting this very morning, we have a new music program. Monday afternoons will always be FAXL’s band practice. Here’s the plan for the remainder of the week, to make every day into a music day, if time, energy and schedules permit… We’ll be setting up the stage with the F# didgeridoo as the basic. On this, we’ll build percussion, to wit: everything we can lay our hands on that makes a sound when agressed upon percussively. That will include djembe, congas, rekinto, thumb-piano and a host of ibo and ube drums. Featured in the center will be (with your help — $1225 for the whole package including special shipping — is needed right now for this project) an array of chromium IBO stands and special Pro-35 microphones in five incredible HAPI drums. We haven’t yet found a stand for the big UFO angel drum. Here’s the reason we can do this now — I have found THE PERFECT (not too expensive, but not at all cheap) F# Native American flute that will allow me to make recordings for you that at last can include my HAWKAA Eagle and Hawk Calls. I will be doing workshops explaining how to draw your TOTEM out with the Native American flute, but it can’t be a cheap imitation. They just don’t work the same, although they can sound pretty good. The animal spirit has to be actually living inside the wooden heart of the flute, and must be invoked with a special breath. This is well known to all shaman everywhere. I made sure of that back in good old 50,000 B.C. (Truthfully, it was more like 48055 B.C., but 50,000 sounds soooo much better.) So, please somebody dig into the pocket, purse or wallet and make this exciting HAWKAA project possible. My bird friends are waiting to sky-walk you to Heaven.

There it is… the SS “Respawn” at her docking station in RiverWorld I, which is only hours away from Prime-Time Readiness…(She’s equipped with a convenient ATM machine at her engine area.) When the engine is net-player ready, which it isn’t yet, but I’m sure it will be here tomorrow, you’ll be able to board the boat by the dozens and have a river pilot take you up or down the river. I’ll be making the “Mark Twain” riverboat in the next orb, Riverworld II, which I’ll be starting tonight, in order to have it ready by the time you’ll need it. Two boats are required for the next level. These expeditions have stops along the way — circles, dance areas, picnic grounds, gathering places, performance venues and sacred ritual areas, all reached by riverboat as a group. Waterway Group Adventure Games are also on the way — I’ve started an Expedition I orb tonight, which I’ll work on as solutions present themselves. It’s a very difficult project because it involves taking the new GODD engine into realms not yet explored. I’ll post my advances in this area as progress is made. Stay tuned.
Very Special Good Wishes to Jedrik!!! (I built a prim sculpture that says “HI!” in the temple, will leave it up for the night. Interestingly I didn’t get bumped out until I’d completed the exclamation point, so my net connection is getting better.)
What I’m doing tonight… It’s almost 2 am (make that “well-past-2-am” now, and getting mysteriously later and later, all the time) and all I’ve done so far is categorize the orbs on which I’m working to get them ready for this weekend’s ICW if I can. Dick is working very hard to get the fixes in so my boat rides work correctly, which at the moment, they don’t. The slants are fixed on the boat, but not entirely sure they work on land. Some do, some don’t. Will be trying to debug that while I build boats out of prim type “rboxes”, which are what we call “prims” in the GODD engine.
Here are the orbs I’m working on concurrently:
RAFTER — Workout orb for boat and water problems and steering issues, etc. SHIRE RAFT — Rafting Expedition through the Shire with lots of bulldozing & hills RIVER BOAT — “Mark Twain” two-story Steamboat with passengers & lots of detail 00 RIVER — Steamboat paddle-wheeler — Really New Orleans style BOATRIDE — Uncertain what the boat will look like atm, but the ride is beautiful) CANAL ZONE — Canal boat ride similar to Team Fortress Canal Zone) REBIRTH (a stunning variant of warftown that resembles actual rebirth events) VENICE (waterworld version of HADRON — this will be the basis of some running orbs) SEA RAFT (that’s the one in the video — this is a wide open space with tropical islands)
Ignorance is NOT bliss. It’s ignorance, pure & simple. Lawrence Welk’s producer noted that this song says “sweet Jesus” and concluded that it was a modern hymn to Jesus. Neither Dick nor Gail nor anyone else on that show had a clue what the words meant. The only thing I truly miss about the Old Days is the Nostalgia.
All aboard that train for Shangri-La, the All-Canada Prosperity Path Ashram! Of course, it’s just starting its life and work, so it’s not very concrete at the moment, but it soon will be very real, indeed. We take it in stages:
1. FIRST YEAR — Solstice & Equinox Celebrations, tie-in workshop retreat in the Prosperity Ashram, with local & regional groups gathered together at Ashram Power Points (one of which is YOUR HOME, and I’m talking to YOU). Four Celebrations. Sounds like it won’t be enough, right? Wrong. That’s one celebration every three months, and believe me or don’t, 3 months goes by like a Lamborghini on a test run. It’s a lot of work to get a few folks at an event three months down the line, and you have to start motivating them early, as in six months to a year advance notice so they can make family plans, get time off from work, arrange travel and accommodations, raise money for the expense of the journey, etc.
Happy Valentine’s Day!!! This is what I’ve been working on intensely, without a single break, all night, since Val delivered the new GODD engine with the RAFT. You’ll note that I’ve bulldozed & plowed pretty much every island in the layout. Some of the higher hills are 30 meters or more. It’s on a shallow inland lake, so if you happen to stumble into the water, you can get right back on land or on the raft without hassle. This is one of several stressbusters I’m working on right now for release with the new RAFT engine. BTW, it is of some note that the raft will also fly like a carpet.
“The Job Makes the Man”. It’s a very familiar phrase, a popular saying, a wiseness from ancient times, already. As they say in TXT, baobnabniarbnjafbboihbnaboadjbfnmnanagn, know what I mean??? I know, right? Word. Apart from the Royally Offensive Masculine tense of “Man” meaning “everyone”, it’s very true, and it applies powerfully well to Bodhisattva Training.

Spacebuddhaa’s intention was to have her Avatar sit in the Tibetan Temple while her Player — Jedrik — drove by car up to her Ashram Workstation in the Great White North of British Columbia, my old stomping grounds back in the 1970s. You will note in the screenshot that SpaceBuddhaa is listed as “offline”, yet her Avatar remains seated in the Chen-Rig Tibetan Temple. How is this possible? It’s yet another example of the kind of magic at work here. The Universe is a not-so-giant videogame set in a 3D matrix. Why shouldn’t it work?
