Well, by dingy-dongy, I done it. I was determined to finish the MaMa Gift Shop tonight, and I did, but now I’m totally ragged and have to go down for a while.
I may or may not make it back up for the Sunday morning zoom meeting, but I will give it my best try when the time comes — I won’t know until then.

Isn’t that something? I can put the most intricate things on those nails, just like I used to do with a fine-tipped pen, only these nails are SO much cheaper that I can actually hope to market them.
I also have original painted designs on Feature Nails, but they run $125 a pop, and are actually miniature paintings and ink washes.
If you really want an original Dutch Masters Painted Nail, I’d recommend mounting it in a deep frame. I do that for an additional $125 — the labor is a bitch and I wreck one out of four frames, so if you’re looking for a wrecked frame, check my wrecked frame inventory out back of the shed.
You know that you can add to this product by painting colors onto them? I don’t think it would add anything, but it’s just another way you could add value if you were strapped for another reason to charge more. Continue reading

Widow’s Mites of Mark 12-41
Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow put more into the treasury than all the others. For all of them have contributed out of their abundance; but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.”
These coins are bronze lepta and prutot of Alexander Jannaeus, the Hasmonean King of Judaea from 103 to 76 B.C. Although these coins were minted long before Christ’s lifetime, they were still in circulation during the first century A.D. They were the lowest denomination coins circulated at the time of Jesus.
I’m making Christmas/Chanukah Gift Packets with these incredible 2,000 year-old genuine ancient Judean coins that were in circulation during the time of Jesus, and some dating to the time of the Macabees, and they’re only $35 a pop!

Just now got to a “save” point in a wild and crazy design binge in copper with Ashanti Style Circle Drops & Threaded Beads, mostly copper-on-copper, but a few surprise elements thrown in, as well. I’m intending to show them this morning at the ICW, if time and other stuff permits. I took a moment to jot this down, then I’m off again to the Never-Never Land of coppersmithing.
Point of Interest: Nebulae look so fantastic, and all it takes is a swirl of the cosmic finger to set one off. From the outside, it looks totally incredible, but who knew that PEOPLE live inside those galaxies???
Still, from the Cosmic Viewpoint, it’s worth a few dozen crushed bugs and nearly self-extinct species of two-legged bipeds.
Yet Another Point of Interest: What about taking a bunch of kits to a fair or trunk show in a shop or mall space, making the parts halfway — beating the paddles, forming the circles, doing everything to make it possible for someone to choose the beads they like, then YOU put them on the circle or core, seal it, put the ear-wires of choice on the item, and ring up another SALE!!!
WHAT EXACTLY IS THE GIMMICK???
There is no gimmick. You’re making the finished piece, but THEY are choosing the gemstones or other beads that go onto the piece, and THEY decide which one goes where, and THEY can do that part themselves; you then take the piece, seal and finish, and put it into their hands or into a “Take Me Home” baggie and yes, that’s the whole plan.
