Role: Burning with pure love, guardians of the Divine Throne.
Sound: Fiery chorus, voices like living flame.
Ruling Angel: Metatron (sometimes Seraphiel).
Cherubim
Role: Keepers of divine mysteries and cosmic knowledge.
Sound: Thunderous harmonies, like wheels within wheels.
Ruling Angel: Ophaniel (sometimes Gabriel).
Thrones
Role: Embodiments of divine justice; carry out divine will.
Sound: Deep, resonant chants that shake the cosmos.
Ruling Angel: Orifiel.
If we could all yell like Brooklyn Bum (Trolley-Dodgers) fans, we’d have at least SOME voice — but that’s not the case now, since the bums moved out of town. We have no voice, and we will not be heard doing anything, let alone shouting “T’row da bum out!”, but that is the noise we’ll be making, and I assure you, it will not be heard.
