ESCAPE! Videos #1

40 Demoted Saints protest at California Unemployment office, 1969.

Is the world starting to look like Hell? Are you able to sleep at night? Can you face another tomorrow? Is this the end?

If it’s looking real bad and you just can’t stare another election-denier in the face, you need my method of escape — the youtube ESCAPE! video-binge.

Back in the 1960s, I had an Ampex tape recorder available to me at KNX-TV and CBS Records, and in my spare time I created, with the help of the radio station’s enormous records library,  what were then called “Trip Tapes”, intended for use while meditating or on LSD.

I also made recordings of my friends Tim Leary, John and Toni Lilly, Claudio Naranjo and others to create a permanent library of their works in their own words.

The ESCAPE! Video technique is basically the same with a video today, adding the element of the video to the sound laid down, as in the audio trip tapes on the Ampex recorder.

Today, I have created a chain of videos equivalent to the Trip Tapes I typically made back in the day. I will probably do this for several more days, just to see if it’s something that folks like and can use in their work.

It is NOT entertainment in the ordinary sense — these videos are intended to literally draw you into another dimension and seal you off, for a short while, from the angst of the world in which you live.

If you live to work and to serve, you  will do well in these spaces, because there is much wisdom hidden in their expression. If you have eyes to see and ears to hear, you will prosper greatly from the experience.

Think of the ESCAPE! video as a bubble, a hole into another dimension, a window through time and space, and the world revealed to you is not in your world, and yet you can see, hear and feel through the membrane.

Each ESCAPE! video opens into another world or dimension. Experience it by listening, looking and processing every moment of it until the world around you is dissolved and your reality is focused clearly on the video screen.

Immerse yourself for as long as you like in each video presentation.

I’ll share with you one secret about this great method of attracting attention and building a social media base:

If it lets you go for a single instant, it’s not going to work. You need a continual buzz-feed from the video to get all the way to the end. It takes a LOT of searching to find just the right videos for ESCAPE!

You can bet that every video I put up there is worth the watching and that you’ll be better off having seen it. I personally hunt down each and every video using my proprietary Shaman Search System — yes, I offer a course in Shaman Search, we’ll talk about it.

The first example I offer this morning is George Carline’s routine “Everyday Expressions”. It’s worth the journey all the way to the end of the bit, and Carlin will not disappoint you.

So I know you’ve seen Flash Mobs before — one person starts singing or saying lines, and others join in one by one until the whole mall is booming with voices and instruments and what-all, but this flash-mob is different. I guarantee you’ve never seen anything like it before, and probably won’t again after this.

Now this one with the Queen I KNOW you’ve seen before — I made a point of showing it a while ago, but it’s a perfect example of the totally unexpected and slightly miraculous, and that’s what holds the attention and keeps them coming back for more, which is the whole point of this exercise, to attract newcomers to your social media outlets and into your innre circle of friends.

This next video is a compelling compendium of five finalist acts of 2022, so I know full-well that you’ve probably not seen any of  them, but after you see these amazing talents, you’ll be on the lookout for more, and that’s where I come in.

I do the research, find the interesting videos and reject the ones that either are just plain crummy or that fail in the middle of the thing. Every one of these five acts has something to offer and something from which you could learn the Art of the Clickbait and the Cunning of the Semantic Jungle.

I know, you’re exhausted from laughing, but wait until you see this absolutely wild character, Piff the Magic Dragon — it’s a well-spent hour’s watch, worth every minute of it.

So the idea is to establish yourself as a movie maven or in my case a Video Magic Finder, and publish a set of videos every day, anywhere from three to five videos, making sure that it NEVER gets boring or tiresome, that there’s no point at which you want to hit the fast-forward.

Build your audience, and don’t blow away too much too fast. Take your time and make sure that every one of your recommended videos is fun, amusing, amazing and maybe even downright funny.

Eventually, you’ll get the hang of what people like, and you should never go for what EVERYONE likes, because there is no such thing, which translates to: find a niche and stay in it.

Be funny, don’t preach, and it isn’t always funny — you can track down some amazing performances and events on youtube, things you might not find unless you know how to look, which is the point of my classes and instruction on this subject, the subject of click-bait and the move/act code of human behavior and thought.

Yes, thought. Emotion, too. It’s all in the code, and if you dig the code, you understand how to formulate and create an ESCAPE! Video Collection like the one you see here on my blog page today.

Uh, oh, time for breakfast, I see.

See You At The Top!!!
