Yes, we know that Justin.tv is gone forever, but read on…

Please, no more emergency calls! Thanks to a large number of folks, we found out about an hour ago that justin.tv is gone forever, leaving us with no realtime video service. This leaves us wondering how to proceed. We have several options, none of them particularly good. Claude is working on it, and we’ll hopefully have a solution by the time of the convention…the thing is, it’s a spooky set of coincidences, signs & portents, possibly indicating a Major Change for you and your work community.

Yesterday was Monday. The band, FAXL, played live during a three-hour thunderstorm on the same day that I changed the front of the Chen-Rig Temple to accommodate a speaker’s podium.

Then today there was the announcement from SpaceBuddhaa and Kyle and then today, like a shot out of nowhere, justin.tv goes down forever, and at the same time, we come to find out that our email service changed its equipment and may have dropped us for several months back, at least for incoming mail. My email and grishy’s still don’t work, and haven’t for a while now.

Is this a sign that we should move the ICW to the Ashram? Or does it mean we should re-evaluate our 24 hour a day broadcasting commitment? Or something entirely different? Or nothing at all, it’s all just a weird chain of seemingly co-incidental events…

I’m concerned about the Convention, of course. How do we convey the movement requirements? Do we get a temporary service just for the event? Do we hold the thing in the Ashram? In that case, how do we do the movements? In the Ashram, we have a guarantee of sound, and we could post some videos on youtube and display them in-Ashram, I suppose.

Is this convergence of stuff some sort of sign from above, perhaps that we need to put the movements into Second Life? In which case, when will you learn the movements with your organic body?

Stay tuned for the answers to these, and other equally mysterious questions with equally mysterious outcomes…and hey, you’re listening to the Bardo Bob Show, here on KGOD, the Station that Makes It. The following prescribed has been transcrammed.

Anyhow, I thought I’d better get on here and assure you that we’re doing everything we can to make the ICW and music and convention and all happen, but we’re trying not to spend $1,000 a month to get the same service, with password protection, as we had on justin.tv — sure, there are cheap services, even free, and with the same outfit, but there are prices to be paid for the cheaper service money charges, and you’d end up having to pay it, because we couldn’t pay it for you.

As it is, the Ashram costs a lot to maintain, and we need and appreciate all the help you can afford to give to keep it going. I’m happy to see that it does get a lot of use, thanks largely to SpaceBuddhaa, Nortiana, Red Miguel…uh,oh… I’m bound to leave someone who deserves praise out of this list; please let me hastily add that I know that so many of you contribute time, effort and money to the Ashram project.

I especially want to take a moment to thank Nortiana in particular for her efforts. I think no one would object to me singling her out for praise in this regard.

Without your support and participation, the Ashram would not exist. As it is, it is there as a contact point between beings caught in a human meatgrinder world and their true home.

By your support and continued interest and participation, you not only keep the Ashram alive, you perform your natural tasks in the Bodhisattva Path, earning merit not only for yourself, but also all those you help. Did you know that your good karma rubs off on those you help? Well, it does.

Oy, I gotta run — I’m doing my own car detailing, with the help of Jewel, Michele and Yanesh, and it’s starting to drizzle again, but whatever you do, don’t stop the rain dance.

Let’s catalog the noticeable effects of today and yesterday:

1.   The rain comes out of nowhere, unpredicted by our local weather channel, and it’s a three-hour thunderstorm, albeit the thunder only happened three or four times that I noticed — but I was onstage most of the time, so it could have been more.

2.   Change of Temple space to accommodate guest speakers, especially with my Tibetan and Indian friends in mind. I might replace the chairs in back for multiple speakers, but would prefer not.

3.   Announcement of new couple in our work circle — again, best wishes & blessings to the union, which follows right on the heels of a change of partners for two other high-ranking members of nearby communities — the Rule of 3???

4.   justin.tv goes down, a service that we would never have been on or had 5.5 million viewers on, had it not been for Jedrik’s incredible contributions to our community and work.

5.   We learn that one of our major email services went down a while ago and we didn’t know of it until today. They are still not able to get back into operation, apparently. This service has never failed us, or failed to keep in touch. They have not notified us, and will not accept calls at this time.

6.   The electric just went down during lunch, and we’re having another thunder storm, although minor.

All these events point to one thing for sure. We are definitely in a different Path, a completely new LINEAGE, one that does not have justin.tv, one in which all these changes have already existed; in short, this is NOW the way it has always been.

I’ll try to alert you to as many Reality Changes as I can, but it’s up to you to try to remember, across the membranes. Good luck on that one, until you’ve developed your higher self.

See You At The Top!!!
