Health, I’m sure you will agree, is largely a matter of luck. The same may be said of all your attributes and energies.
Luck rules your entire life whether you acknowledge this fact or not — all the way from which partner, or partners with whom you happen to have fallen into the same family group and with whom you share a thirty-year mortgage and a heap of bills to what job you have and where you go for a vacation.
Okay, so what is it exactly that determines how much luck you have?
Your Karma. Luck IS Karma. Karma is luck.
Improving your luck indicates an improvement of your Karma, and that’s important to make yourself able to earn Merit for Passage to the Next Level. It doesn’t just happen automatically — you have to earn it, but you already knew that.
How can you improve your luck, make it better?
Sharing your luck is a good beginning practice, but there’s a lot more you can do to get your Luck-Power up, but you must understand the principles behind luck before you can get any decent results.
To begin with, everybody has SOME kind of luck. Some have good luck, some have bad luck, some have a complete absence of good luck, but not actually BAD luck, and some have strange unpredictable and seemingly unrelated “luck” that goes from one extreme to the other quite unexpectedly and at random intervals.
Hey, “Random Intervals” is my middle name. It’s quite possible to organize your lucky streaks and to take advantage of them as you would a Lucky Astrological Day, when all the indicators are in your favor.
Well, luck is an indicator of luck.
Think of luckiness as an INDICATOR of a lucky streak. You have no idea at first, whether you’re just entering the lucky streak, exiting the lucky streak or you’re wandering around somewhere in the middle of the lucky streak.
It makes a difference how you play your cards what part of the lucky streak you’re in right now. If it’s at the very end, you might want to hold off your lottery ticket purchase until the next streak happens.
You’re doing a penny search, and you get a few good drops, that’s your basic luck. You find a few high-grade pennies that are offset by 2%, that’s sorta good luck.
Finding a die rotation on an MS-66 that’s more than 20 years old and came from a bank box, that’s pretty good luck, not at all bad, about 20% to Magic Find, which makes a good Medicine Wheel attribute.
Of course there are more powerful pennies out there, such as a DDO or DDR, a full rotation, RPMs galore, and lots more mint errors, but the trick is finding those errors on MINT STATE coins, and that’s not all that easy to do.
The very existence of a plain ordinary 20, 30, 40 or 50 year old Business Circulation Penny in MS-68 or MS-69 condition is so astronomically improbable that all by itself, that’s enough “luckiness” to qualify the coin as “lucky”, and that’s a coin that should go to auction.
Now add other factors in, such as “off-center”, “die rotation” and “RPM”, and you have another level of rarity that suggests even greater levels of luck.
At the next level, you’ll find DDOs, DDRs and PRINT-THRU coins, and higher on the luck ladder would be COUNTER-CLASH and CLAD errors.
Still higher, you’d find the extreme rarities, such as PLANCHE errors and WRONG REVERSE errors.
There are even higher rarities in the Lincoln Cent, and they would be in the tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars, so naturally, they’d go to public auction.
The point here is that those heavy “Million Dollar Drops” belong to a different category of luck, and should be treated differently, more as drops than luck indicators.
You’ll find a combination of drops and indicators, and the indicators get put into flips for selection in lucky charms, while the extremes get put into special flips for grading and slabbing and eventually, auction house action.
How can you tell how lucky a coin or antiquity might be?
Generally, the price is a reflection of its scarcity, combined with its desirability and of course, its condition.
