You Are Welcome

You are most welcome to walk into any of my virtual exhibitions. The url addresses are on my previous blogs.

I’ve just completed the exhibition hall that I’ve included here, which is an exploration of my zazzle earrings, which is to say, I made nothing — I just uploaded my images.

Now, look — it cost me nothing to make those things. I merely uploaded my images, my designs, onto the website, and loaded them onto a variety of objects, priced them to sell, and now sit back to reap the benefits. Continue reading

Silicon Estates is Alive and Well!

Here’s what I’ve been up to tonight — listing some of my many architectural creations in second life.

They can be carried as virtual charms, or actually set up in a second life environment. You can rent them for about $20 a month, often even less, and there’s enough room in there for several villagers.

What I thought might work is to set up a small village, not too many prims, for maybe 20 people, each contributing a dollar a month to the Village Project, under someone’s private ownership, so it can develop commercially.

My thought was a shopping village that’s open only two hours per week, on either Saturday or Sunday.

Goods can be displayed and purchased directly from the in-game environment, and payment is automatic and instantaneous, exchanging lindens for an item that goes into the inventory of the buyer.

The spaces could function in many different ways on a social dynamic level. Commercially, I can’t say as much, but these have functions in the MetaVerse — it can be translated into the metaverse language, or just plain copied.

That’s where good design comes in.

Now, what about making some things and putting them upĀ  on the marketplace, and making a virtual exhibition showroom out of the results?

That’s exactly what I’m doing here as an indication of just one possible direction this could take, and the rest is up to you to figure out.

What is IDHHB???

What’s my next move with the virtual exhibition tool that we now have at our disposal? Gosh, you may well ask — I hadn’t a clue when I started out last night, but a number of recent discussions have led me to believe that somebody has yet to spell out exactly what it is we do do.

What I mean is, where are all the American dollars going, other than the normal $500 increase in a normal family’s expenses for food and gasoline this week — next week, it’ll be worse.

I wanted to fill the tank the other day, but there was no loan officer at the gas station when I pulled up.

So what is it we do? What do we offer? Who’s doing this with us? Where is the love? What’s the capital of South Dakota?

That’s the only question for which you actually need the correct answer, and it’s not “Fargo”.

But I haven’t yet told you what it is we do here at The Home, which we lovingly call “IDHHB, Incorporated”. Actually, we refer to it as “the Institute”, which, to a total stranger, sounds even worse.

Well, I’ve been at it all night long, the project of showing what we do, and I’ve been going at it since 7:00 pm last night, all the way to now, and finally have the definitive “greeting space” for the Institute down in concrete, virtual concrete though it may be.

I suppose with the language spoken on today’s newscasts and in both whorehouses of Congress, I might as well have written the title “What the Heck Darn is IDHHB anyway???

When I asked for a rundown of what it is we do and what we offer, I got nothing, so decided to run it down myself, and here’s the result, which was imaginatively titled, “What is IDHHB?”. Actually, that’s a very good question –here’s my answer: Continue reading

Hats, Cars & Diamonds!

This is what I was able to accomplish tonight — it’s a showroom of hats, cars and diamonds. You can carry these in your inventory and they work as virtual charms.

Of course, you can also wear them in the Ashram.

You might be able to manage a car — I’ll see if that’s possible, and I will be setting up the Colorado Mountain race track, reachable by green egg teleport device.

I hope you enjoy this collection. Your School Task is to follow ALL the links to the second life marketplace, to make certain that all the links work.

If they don’t, please notify me. If you want to buy something, be unafraid — the average price is 75 cents, including some of the cars!

The most expensive car I have up is $7.50 USD, and it’s the best-handling racer in second life, and around some of those curves, you’ll appreciate the difference.

Official School Exercises

I did two complete showrooms last night, and here they are for your closer inspection.

Your task is to check each and every link from each item on the walls and pedestals. I have intentionally made some of them wrong or not work at all, to see if anyone notices.

Yes, there are two of them. I started at 11:00 pm last night and finished just now, at 6:00 am.

You should familiarize yourself with all the second life material, because I’ll be asking you to make some of them for your own marketplace storefront, which is easy to make, don’t worry about it. We’ll cover that in the next big workshop.

This is an official School Exercise. Exposure to the radiations is the key. Just seeing the images does the trick.

My Redbubble Shop

Here’s my latest, My Redbubble Shop, using the stuff I have had on Redbubble for at least five years with little or no result.

We’ll see if there’s any improvement.

I’m beat, gonna rest before breakfast.

Live Sales – See My Preview Room!

This is where I worked most of the night, about nine hours of solid work, to get this live sales preview room up for you to see today.

As you’ll note, each item has a direct link to an eBay or Etsy sales page. Add to cart. This is in fact something I’d hoped we could make happen in the Godd engine, but never re-invent the wheel — someone has already done it and it’s at a reasonable price. Continue reading
